TOPS BOB Brothers of Bushcraft Fieldcraft Knife

This is one of my all-time favorite fixed blade knives. It’s really a great survival knife, and it has many features that make it superior to other knives. Let’s take a look.

The handle is a stroke of pure genius. It’s definitely designed for wilderness use. First and foremost, it’s comfortable. You can use it to your heart’s content, and the Micarta handle isn’t going to hinder you. Its design is very ergonomic, so the handle conforms to the hand nicely. One awesome feature in the handle is a scraper on the exposed pommel. There’s also a Ferro rod that is included in the sheath, so it really gives you everything you would need if you had to start a fire.

It’s a really good length without being too long; it’s 9.875 inches long overall with a 4.625-inch blade. It has a Scandi grind, which is great for carving, skinning, and other general work you’d encounter in the woods. In this TOPS BOB Field Test, you can see just how effective this knife is at chopping and skinning. I’ll give you a hint: it’s very effective. It’s very effective at holding an edge as well, thanks to 1095 High Carbon steel. In the field test I linked to above, the knife is used for lots of wood working, and afterwards, it’s able to skin a squirrel with really no indication that the blade has already been used a lot.

All in all, this is a very comfortable blade that holds an edge very well and has some very useful survival features. It comes in several different colors. Get this Blade at Blade HQ. It really is one of the best survival knives on the market right now, and it has top-notch performance all around.
